Shaheed claims on violation of Iran religious minority rights baseless

Citing quotes from the Holy Book and speeches of the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini on need to respect all religious minorities, he said the Assyrians living in the Islamic Iran have always had a remarkable presence in revolutionary scenes and been a part of collective efforts to materialize the ideals of the Islamic system.

Condemning the killing of children in the United States, he expressed sympathy with their families and said the US leaders have to realize that many defenseless Christian and Muslim kids are presently killed in Syria, Iraq and Gaza by terrorists and alien forces.

However, he regretted, neither the American president nor other western statesmen never take a single step to remove the oppressions they are suffering from.

Noting that followers of religious minorities in Iran lead a peaceful life alongside their Muslim fellow countrymen, the parliamentarian stressed that he condemned Shaheed’s report which claims violation of religious minority rights in Iran.
