Bahrainis demand democratically elected government

“Determining the government via free elections is the preliminary demand of the people of Bahrain; [a demand] which they seek by means of peaceful protests,” Lahouti said on Wednesday.

He further pointed out that governments which stand against the demands of their people by the use of force, oppression and hegemony have no place among the people and such authorities will certainly fall.

“The people of Bahrain do not accept oppression and cruelty with the awakening which has been formed among them and they demand the overthrow of the puppet regime of Al Khalifa,” Lahouti noted.
