Cairo summit capable of ending Syrian crisis

“Iran’s plan and Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi’s plan enjoy high potentials for the settlement of Syria’s problem and we hope the meeting would be a beginning of the end of the Syrian crisis as one of the main problems in the Muslim world,” Boroujerdi said on Tuesday.

Boroujerdi also urged the OIC meeting to adopt firm positions against Israel’s settlement expansion plans and condemn the recent Israeli airstrike on a Syrian research center.

The Iranian lawmaker also said that the OIC meeting should address the problems of Muslim countries in Africa, including Mali and Somalia and take measures to resolve the crises there.
