Larijani calls for boosting Iran-Pakistan cooperation

Islamabad, Feb 11, (ICANA) – The Speaker of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Larijani on Monday underscored the need for further enhancing Iran-Pakistan cooperation in all sectors.

Larijani calls for boosting Iran-Pakistan cooperation

He was talking to reporters at a military base in Islamabad soon after his arrival to attend the first Speakers Conference of Parliamentary Association of ECO Countries (PAECO).

He said that there is lot of scope and opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation. Larijani said that right now Iran and Pakistan are cooperating in economic, energy and law sectors.

Deputy Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan Faisal Karim Kundi termed the visit of the Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani to Pakistan as highly important. He said that Iran and Pakistan enjoy strong bilateral relations.

Earlier the Iranian speaker was received by Deputy Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan at the Nur Khan Airbase.

Ali Reza Haghighian, Iranˈs Ambassador to Pakistan, and other senior officials and Iranian diplomats were also present on the occasion.
