Tehran, Feb 11, (ICANA) – Chairman of the Majlis Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy Alaeddin Boroujerdi says Iran has proposed Kazakhstan to host the next round of comprehensive talks with the six major world powers (P5+1) as the country has a neutral position on Iran’s nuclear issue.

Kazakhstan will host Iran-P5+1 talks due to neutrality

“Kazakhstan is a Muslim country which has an unbiased stance on Iran’s nuclear issue. This is important to us that the host country does not support or pursue the wrong policies of the Western states, particularly the US, on the nuclear issue,” Boroujerdi said on Monday.

Boroujerdi also pointed to remarks by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu who proposed the formation of a 5+3 group by including Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and said these two countries are not permanent members of the Security Council while Germany attends the negotiations as a leading member of the European Union.

I think the presence of Turkey and Saudi Arabia in the talks would not help the involved parties to resolve the existing issues, the Iranian legislator added.
