Tehran, Feb 25, (ICANA) – Member of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Seyed Baqer Hosseini says the western states that are due to participate in the talks with Iran in Kazakhstan tomorrow should have new proposals to raise in the Almaty meeting if they mean to work out an agreement with Tehran.

West should have new words to present in talks with Iran

"The westerners should have new words," Hosseini said on Monday, and stressed that the western powers cannot expect Iran to halt its nuclear activities while they keep their previous stance.

He reminded that Iran suspended its 20% uranium enrichment program in a voluntary move a few years ago based on the demands of the western states and as a confidence-building measure, but it didn't receive good incentives and responses from them and it, thus, resumed its activities.

Hosseini underlined that uranium enrichment is Iran's inalienable right based on the rules of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), while it is also a popular demand in Iran, "hence the country continues its enrichment activities".
