Syria crisis deepens if Clinton undertakes UN mission

In an interview with ICANA on Wednesday, Jokar said, "If current UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi is replaced with Clinton, the crisis in Syria would deepen as the US diplomat has frequently proved his animosity to the resistance front."

"Since the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, the Western governments including the US have opposed any peaceful settlement of disputes in the Arab country," he added.

"Brahimi's potential replacement with Clinton highly endangers UN position of impartiality as the former US president is quite known for his connections to Israel," he added.
