Iran, South Korea should strengthen relations

Nadimi made the remarks in a meeting with South Korean Ambassador to Tehran Sung Wung-yeub on Sunday.

He said Iran and South Korea have great economic and industrial capacities and capabilities which should be used to boost bilateral cooperation with the help of friendship and parliamentary groups.

“Close, age-old cultural relations between the two nations have prepared a suitable ground for strengthening cordial ties,” the Iranian lawmaker added.

The South Korean envoy, for his part, said parliamentary friendship groups play an important role in increasing bilateral exchanges.

He added that high-ranking political and parliamentary officials of Iran and South Korea can create new opportunities for the expansion of ties in all fields.

The South Korean Ambassador stated that two South Korean parliamentary delegations would travel to Tehran in the near future, expressing hope that the visits would open a new chapter in exchanges between the two countries’ parliaments.
