US worried about Iran's participation in Geneva meeting

In an interview with ICANA on Sunday, Sheikholeslam said, "After becoming disappointed about the viability of the military option against Syria, the Western countries and their allies are now trying to resolve the conflict through political and diplomatic means."

"However, the anti-Syria front will not stop its support for the terrorists fighting against the Syrian president Bahshar al-Assad.

"This is a clear sign of US hypocritical stances toward the developments in Syria," he added.

"US officials clearly know that Iran's contribution to the second Geneva conference on Syria would stop their interference in the Arab country and this is the main reason for their objection to Iran's participation in the meeting," he added.
