Ardashir Larijani finished his statements with: The resolution of regional problems needs close views and this is what Iran and Bosnia find near to their feet; we hope to see such proceedings (two-way traffic) more and more.

The Bosnian official, for his part, hailed the nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), describing it as a great political victory for Iran.

He added that the JCPOA was the victory of wisdom and understanding over those who did injustice to Iranians by imposing sanctions against them for many years.

Heading a high-ranking delegation, the Bosnian parliamentarian arrived in Tehran on Sunday afternoon at the invitation of Larijani.

The House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the two chambers of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the other chamber being the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established through the signing of the Dayton Agreement in 1995.

It has 15 members equally distributed among the three ethnic groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina: 5 Bosniaks, 5 Serbs, and 5 Croats. The members are appointed by the parliaments of the constituent peoples. Their duty is to make sure that no law is passed unless all three groups agree on it.

Safet Spftic is a member of Party of Democratic Action (or SDA); a Bosniak political party in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the promotion of business cooperation and mutual investment.

The document was signed by the countries’ officials in the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and the visiting chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegović (Bosniak Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina), during a ceremony at Tehran’s Sadabad Complex in the last month.

It envisaged the expansion of cooperation among the countries’ enterprises and industrial parks.
