Islamic Consultative Assembly News Agency – "Iran has no oil extraction from Caspian Sea and neighboring countries are the main factors of oil pollution in the sea but I should say that Iran makes pollutions in the other sectors in this place", said Mehrdad Baouj Lahouti criticizing the oil pollution of the Caspian Sea by the neighboring countries.

"In the past, there was discussion of the Caspian Sea pollution so that even at some points of time the beach was full of oil spills, but fortunately, by the follow-up conducted by the Department of Environment and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the former government the oil pollution fell heavily down", said the MP from Langarood electoral district in the last and current period of the Islamic Consultative Assembly warning of oil pollution and industrial and domestic waste and their impact on aquatic life or health of the Caspian Sea.
