Iran attains its goals in implementation of JCPOA: Araqchi

Talking to ICANA, Spokesman for Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini quoted Head of JCPOA follow-up commission Abbas Araqchi as saying.

Naqavi Hosseini reviewed the details of Araqchi remarks in the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission which was held on Monday (Feb 13).

Naqavi Hosseini underscored that sanctions imposed on Iran in key areas of energy, transportation and banking have been removed according to the JCPOA, but how much the Iranian government could utilize the opportunity is another issue.

Araqchi stressed that investment in the oil and gas sectors and selling oil and petrochemical products abroad have been normalized and the Islamic Republic has access to the exported oil money, the MP added.

Touching upon US sanctions, he added the Washington first sanctions prevented use of American financial and banking system by Iran and JCPOA should not be blamed for the problems in this field including the currency exchange, Naqavi Hosseini quoted Araqchi.

Describing new US President Donald Trump as one of the challenges on the way of implementation of nuclear deal, the lawmaker quoted Araqchi that there is consensus in the international community in support of JCPOA.

Naqavi Hosseini quoted Araqchi as saying that Saudi Arabia and some certain courtiers are pressuring Trump and provoke him against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
