Iran welcomes talks with Persian Gulf states

Islamic Consultative Assembly News Agency – "Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes to negotiate with Arabic countries, especially Saudi Arabia without any preconditions; Islamic Republic of Iran has always called for peaceful relations with neighboring countries especially the Persian Gulf states" said Seied Hossein Naqavi Hosseini representing Varamin electoral district in the tenth period of the Iranian Majlis.

"Iran has never pursued hostile policies against other countries and we believe cooperation with neighboring countries will help to improve relationships with others and contributes to the security and peace" said the spokesperson.

"We are always looking to improve our relations although outside interference in this matter has always makes tension and conflict; but the Islamic Republic of Iran is not really looking for conflict with any country, including Muslim countries in the Persian Gulf is not."

"If we set out to develop a defense system, this is because of threats against the Islamic Republic in the international arena."
