Tehran, April 3, ICANA– Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani called for expansion of economic and parliamentary cooperation with Bangladesh.

Larijani calls for expansion of economic exchanges with Bangladesh

Larijani made the remarks in his recent meeting with Bangladeshi Ambassador to Tehran Majibur Rahman Bhuiyan.

He added the two countries should also reinforce their banking interactions.

Parliament speaker also called for employing the existing capacities in the two countries in order to remove the obstacles to Iran-Bangladesh ties.

Touching upon the global and regional issues, Larijani said Tehran and Dhaka have had good relations, adding the two should not let such a growing process be interrupted.

He also described the parliamentary interactions as an important part of friendly ties between Iran and Bangladesh.

Bangladeshi envoy, for his part, expressed his country’s readiness to develop close ties with Iran.

Bhuiyan added that the government of his country supports any move to boost cooperation with Iran.

He added the private sector in Bangladesh is very interested in having trade and economic exchange with their Iranian counterparts.

Bangladesh attaches great importance to its ties with Iran in line with stabilization of peace and tranquility in both the world and region, the diplomat added.
