Deputy Chairman of Parliament’s Judicial and Legal Affairs Commission Yahya Kamalpour made the remarks in an interview with ICANA.

The lawmaker also called for safeguarding Iraq territorial integrity, expressing hope that the possible referendum does not create division between Iraqis and Kurds in that country.

The lawmaker underscored the separation of Iraq’s northern province of Kirkuk is detriment to the Iraqi people and government.

Kamalipour reiterated that all the conflicts should be settled through the legal means and in accordance with Iraq's constitution.

He added all actions outside the Iraqi law would lead to the escalation of tensions in this Arab country.
