Iranian lawmaker condemns US missile attack on Syria

Tehran, April 8, ICANA – An Iranian lawmaker said here on Saturday that US invaded the Syria under the alleged use of chemical weapons, while the global human rights were quietly silence on Halabcheh and Sardasht chemical attacks in northwestern Iranian province of West Azarbaijan.

Iranian lawmaker condemns US missile attack on Syria

Rasoul Khezri made the remarks in an interview with ICANA.

Touching upon the recent chemical attack on the Syrian town of Khan Shaykhun in the northwestern province of Idlib, the MP noted that Sardasht was the first civilian city which was attacked by chemical weapons in the world.

On March 16, 1988, the former Iraqi regime conducted a large-scale chemical attack on the Kurdish town of Halabja, killing thousands of civilians.

Referring to the 1987 chemical bombardment of the northwestern city of Sardasht by the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, he added so far the international community has not seriously condemned such catastrophe.

He added the terrorist group of al-Nusra terrorists have stockpiled their chemical weapons and they were exploded after the Syrian army bombarded the terrorists bases.

He added the US missile attack on Syria is aimed at fostering cooperation with Takfiri terrorists in the Arab country and hindering the movement of resistance front.
