Lawmaker: US missile attack on Syria an excuse for hindering resistance front

Talking to ICANA, Rasoul Khezri reiterated that this is while the UN Human Rights Council was silent about chemical bombing of the northwestern Iranian city of Sardasht by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein back in 1987, during the Iraqi-imposed war on Iran and the Iraqi Kurdish town of Halabja in March 1988.

Touching upon an US missile invasion on alleged chemical weapons attack in the Syrian town of Khan Shaykhoun in Idlib province earlier this week, he said Sardasht was the first civilian city which was chemically  bombed in the world.

Khezri said eight countries have sold chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein,  he said, adding that the case of reviewing Sardasht chemical attack is still vague in the International Criminal Court.

The lawmaker stressed that so far the international community has not strongly condemned Sardasht chemical attack in Iran

He also expressed sympathy with the Syrian citizens who their beloved family members were killed or wounded in US missile attack in that county.

Khezri also described the US move as an excuse for helping the Takfiri terrorists and hindering the resistance front in Syria.
