Tehran, April 28, ICANA – A senior Iranian lawmaker said that Pakistan is obliged to take necessity measures to scrutinize its borderlines and troops.

Senior lawmaker: Pakistan should scrutinize its borderlines

A member of Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of the Parliament Mohammad-Javad Noubandegani made the remarks over the martyrdom of Iranian border guards in a recent clash with terrorists in an Iran southeastern region.

Talking to ICANA, the lawmaker added that Pakistan should increase its supervision on its borderline and prevent the repetition of such incidents.

Iran reserves the right to safeguard its borderlines and deal with the terrorists along its joint border with Pakistan if Islamabad does not so, he added.

On Wednesday (April 26) evening, nine Iranian border guards were martyred during an ambush attack by terrorists.

They were reportedly killed while patrolling in the city of Mirjaveh is located 75 km east of the provincial capital city of Zahedan.
