Tehran, May 1, ICANA - A senior foreign policy advisor to the parliament speaker said holding dialogue among regional countries is vital in settlement of political solution to the crises in the Middle East.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Tehran Levan Jagarian.

Lauding the cordial relations between Tehran and Moscow, he underlined that Iran-Russia cooperation would benefit all countries in the region.

Amir-Abdollahian noted that the common and strong positions of Iran and Russia over the combat against terrorism contribute a great deal to the global peace and stability.

Expansion of cooperation between parliaments of the two countries would be beneficial for both nations, he added.

Jagarian, for his part, underlined the steady policies of Iran and Russia in pursuing political solutions and their seriousness of combat against terrorism.

The Russian envoy said the Moscow-Tehran cordial relations would help establish peace and stability in the region.

Jagarian said parliamentary cooperation is of great significance to identify areas of cooperation and to strengthen bilateral, regional and international transactions.
