A member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Mojtaba Zolnouri made the remarks in an interview with ICANA.

The MP said the Hiba value is based on the amount of blood money in Saudi Arabia and is higher than the rate of blood money in Iran.

He added the exact time of paying the Hiba has not set yet.

Saudi Arabia refuses to pay any blood money, he said, adding that in case of accepting Hiba it must be equal Diya based of Islamic Sharia law and regulation.

On April 19, Akbar Ranjbarzadeh a member of the parliament's presiding board said Saudi Arabia has agreed to guarantee the security of Iranian Hajj pilgrims.

Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj, through a written communication, has expressed the country’s readiness to accept Iranian pilgrims, in case the Islamic Republic of Iran is also willing to send its pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in the Hajj season, Ranjbarzadeh said.

Iran in a letter to Saudi Hajj authorities has conditioned sending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to the latter’s efforts to provide guarantees regarding the protection of safety and dignity of Iranian pilgrims during Hajj ceremonies, he said.
