Tehran, May 25, ICANA – An Iranian lawmaker said Iran and India could cooperate in tackling terrorism and religious extremism.

Iranian MP: Tehran, New Delhi could cooperate in tackling terrorism, religious extremism

Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi, who was accompanying Iranian parliamentary delegation, made the remarks in a meeting with an Indian parliamentary delegation on the sideline of the executive and financial committee of Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Iranian MP said India is considered as an emerging economy in the world.

Touching upon the Islamic Republic of Iran’s valuable experiences in establishing peace and tranquility in the region, he added Tehran and New Delhi could cooperate in tackling terrorism and religious extremism.

He also expressed hope that two countries cooperation, parliamentary ties in particular, could be expanded.
