Heshmatollah Falahatpishe a member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission made the remarks in an interview with ICANA.

Touching upon the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) latest quarterly report on Iran’s nuclear program, the lawmaker said the report confirms that the country has been consistent with the agreement it signed with major world powers in 2015, known as the JCPOA.

The Agency has been monitoring Iran’s nuclear activity since January 16, 2016 (JCPOA Implementation Day) and verifies its commitments in accordance with the Agency’s standards, said IAEA Director General Youkiya Amano in the report, referring to the background of the landmark agreement signed between Iran and the five permanent members of United Nations Security Council plus Germany, known also as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

On May 31, spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi announced that the work on redesigning Arak reactor is being carried out according to the plans and the reactor will be inaugurated in the next three to four years.

“We also seriously try to increase our yellow cake reserves,” Kamalvandi told reporters.

According to the mechanisms predicted for redesigning the Arak reactor, Iran is the manager of the project and China and US will cooperate with Iran, Kamalvandi noted.
