“The International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) quarterly report on Iran’s nuclear activities was a confirmation that Iran has been committed to its obligations, based on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), without the least deviation,” Naqavi Hosseini added.

The historical nuclear agreement was signed in 2015 by Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany. According to JCPOA, Iran accepted to curb its nuclear program in return of sanctions relief.

The IAEA reaffirmed in its quarterly report on Friday that Iran had been committed to JCPOA.

The MP added that according to the JCPOA, Arak heavy water plant was shut down for maintenance as the report of IAEA confirmed, and it needs to be redesigned by one of the members of the group 5+1 and signatory countries of the nuclear deal according to the landmark agreement.

He went on to say that the agreement of redesigning the plant has been inked with China, but it has yet to be implemented.

As for the US lack of commitment to JCPOA implementation, Naqavi Hosseini said that the US should be back on the track of full implementations of the nuclear deal.

He pointed out that the IAEA's latest report was the official document confirming Iran’s compliance to the agreement, therefore the other parties to the deal should also remain committed. However, the MP stressed as the situation is now contradictory, Iran can complain against West’s disloyalty.
