Larijani calls for development of Iran-Madagascar ties

Tehran, Aug 4, ICANA– Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani held talks with visiting Madagascarian counterpart Jean Max Rakotomamonjy on issues of mutual interests here on Friday.

He stressed that Iran's sustainable security has paved the way for development of all-out ties between the two countries.

Larijani underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran attaches great importance to reinforcement of relations with Madagascar.

He stressed that there is huge potential for expansion of mutual relation, underlying that the recent visit of Madagascar parliamentary delegation is a good opportunity for reinforcement of cooperation between the two countries.

Parliament speaker also voiced Iranian companies' readiness to cooperate with Madagascar in energy, petrochemicals, home appliances, medical, agricultural as well as tourism arenas.

Touching upon recent regional crises, Larijani said Iran enjoys sustainable security which has paved the way for expansion of trade relations between the two countries.

Rakotomamonjy, for his part, emphasized the need for development of cooperation with Iran in economic, trade and industrial arenas.

He added expansion of parliamentary cooperation is vital for boosting mutual ties.

Rakotomamonjy arrived in Tehran on Thursday to participate in swearing-in ceremony of President Rouhani.
