Hossein Naghavi Hosseini Spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran's Parliament (Majlis) said the bill is in the framework of the historical nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1.

The nuclear agreement has been safeguarded and no article in the anti-US legislation runs counter the international deal, the lawmaker said.

The MP said Washington is imposing the cost of killing the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran, adding that Tehran will never pay the price of violating the JCPOA.

The legislation overwhelmingly ratified in Majlis is in retaliation for the US Senate bill known as Countering Iran's Destabilizing Activities Act, which includes anti-Iran non-nuclear sanctions.
