Ezatollah Yousefian Mola made the remarks in reaction to the recent report by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran Asma Jahangir.

He added that the new UN report on human rights is quite politically motivated.

Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi in reaction to Jahangir's new report, said that: 'We do not recognize the new UN report on human rights' status in Iran because the UN resolutions which led to the appointment of special rapporteur on human rights status in Iran was quite politically motivated.”

He noted that the UN rapporteur has tried to show a dark and one-sided image of human rights' situation in Iran.

Qasemi pointed to violation of human rights and human catastrophes in Yemen, Bahrain and Myanmar and said, 'Political approach towards human rights will only weaken the human rights' issue at the international level.'
