Talking to ICANA, a member of Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Valiollah Nanvakenari said that holding referendum would spark tribal war in Iraqi Kurdistan region.

He added that holding referendum for Kurdistan independence would lead to the disintegration of Iraq, while the Takfiri terrorists are still present in this Arab country.

Iran is interested in mediating between Iraqi Kurdistan region and Baghdad on the issue of referendum, Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesman said.

Iran supports the talks already started between Iraq's Irbil and Baghdad, and hopes that the negotiations will result in positive outcomes, Bahram Qasemi said in his weekly press briefing.
