Most injured people in Myanmar's Muslims crackdown are children, women

Tehran, Sep 17, IRNA – An Iranian lawmaker said most of the inured people in crackdown by Myanmar’s government on minority Rohingya Muslims are women and children.

A member of Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hajar Chenarani made the remarks in an interview with ICANA.

Chenari is slated to visit Bangladesh border region to become acquainted with the latest situation of oppressed Myanmar Muslims.

She is slated to prepare a report over the lasts situation of minority Rohingya Muslims.

On Friday, the first planeload shipment of Iran's humanitarian aid was sent for the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar but it would be delivered to Bangladesh since the government of Myanmar did not accept to deliver the cargo and distribute it among the country's Muslim community.

The shipment comprised of necessary materials, food staff, medical and health care equipment.
