Myanmar apparent instance of organized genocide against Muslims

Tehran, Sept 29, ICANA – Parliament's General Director for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed that the incidents in Myanmar is a considered as a genocide against Muslims.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Ukrainian ambassador to Tehran Sergei Burdylyak.

He stressed that Iran and Ukraine enjoy enormous capacities and potentials to develop and extend relations and cooperation.

Amir-Abdollahian also announced that the Iranian parliament (Majlis) willingness for taking measures to reinforce mutual relations, underlying that expansion of parliamentary relations would lead in stronger relations.

He added the war in Yemen has caused the region to be prone to development of terrorism, stressing that Riyadh is still insisting on militancy as the settlement of crisis.

Touching upon the situation of Muslims in Myanmar, Amir-Abdollahian stressed that “the concerns of the Islamic Republic of Iran are rooted in two things; firstly what we are witnessing in Myanmar is a textbook example of organized genocide practiced against Muslims, and secondly is the fact which is not irrelevant to our region and that is the point that war and insecurity in the World of today will yield in more terrorism which is harmful for the region and the whole world.”
