Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in his meeting with Hussein Ragheb al-Hussein, a member of the Syrian People Assembly and Deputy Head of the Syrian National Dialogue Forum, in Tehran.

He also congratulated the latest triumphs by the Syrian army, underscoring that the recent political and ground accomplishments by the Syrian army in different fronts are indications of absolute determination held by the Syrian nation and government to tackle the current crisis.

Amir-Abdollahian stressed Iran’s support for Syria in view of present circumstances adding “Tehran has always supported people and government of Syria in the fight against terrorism and will always remain on the side of the Arab country.”

Ragheb al-Hussein, for his part, hailed all-inclusive support of Iran for the Syrian government and nation.

The Syrian official said the two towns are still under blockade by terrorist groups and suffering of citizens has created severe humanitarian conditions.

Ragheb al-Hussein also robustly slammed the stillness of human rights organizations and lack of action by the United Nations in breaking the cities’ siege adding that lack of drugs, drinking water and electricity is killing dozens of people on daily basis.
