Irish Senate chief: Ireland, EU resist against breaching nuclear deal

Tehran, Oct 6, ICANA - President of Irish Senate Denis O'Donovan voiced the crucial support of Ireland for the landmark nuclear deal.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Head of Iran-Ireland parliamentary friendship group Mustafa Kavakebian.
O'Donovan reiterated that Ireland and EU member-states will defy against any breach of the deal.

He stressed that exchanging parliamentary delegation between the two countries will pave the ground for fostering cooperation and become more familiar with each other.
Kavakebian said that Iran expects European Union (EU) to resist against US lack of commitment.
Touching upon the growing trend of ties between the two states, the MP said Iran and Ireland enjoy cordial ties in different areas.
The Iranian MP said that development of parliamentary connections is an opportunity for consolidation and strengthening mutual friendly ties and added that the friendship parliamentary group of Iran supports every action to promote mutual relations level.
