Iran, Mali keen on expanding ties

Tehran, Oct 7, ICANA – Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani called the level of relations between Islamic Republic and the African countries, in particular Mali, suitable.

According to ICANA, Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with his Malian Issaka Sidibé.

Iranian top official and his Malian counterpart also called for expansion of all-out relations in different arenas.

Larijani also expressed hope that the level of economic relations could be increased.

Mali Parliament Speaker, for his part, said Mali will remain a friend of Iran, adding this African country will never cooperate with Iran' enemies.

'Many African countries are keen to expand ties with Iran,' he added.

Sidibé was in Iran to attend the 38th meeting of the Parliamentary Union of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) Executive Committee in Tehran. He was chairman of the meeting.
