Iranian parliament predicted reciprocal measures against violation of JCPOA

Tehran, Oct 8, ICANA – A senior Iranian lawmaker said the Iranian parliament has predicted reciprocal measures in the face of western countries’ violation of the 2015 multilateral nuclear agreement.

Kamal Dehqani Firouzabadi vice chairman of Iran's parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission made the remarks in an interview with ICANA.

He stressed that the Iranian committee for monitoring the implementation of the nuclear deal, officially called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), as well as the Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission will not stand silent in the case of breaching the deal.

 The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) also has verified continued Iranian compliance in its latest report, he added.

The lawmaker reiterated that the JCPOA is a multilateral nuclear agreement and has been verified by the EU and top heads of different countries and all signatories to the deal are obliged to implement the agreement.
