Chairman of Iran's parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi on Monday urged the Australian government to free Negar Quds-Kanni on bail.
The official said that the Australian ambassador to Iran has been summoned four times, adding that the Islamic Republic has warned Canberra on extraditing her to the US.
The MP referred to pregnancy of Quds-Kanni, and said, 'Her detention is an inhuman measure.'
'The Foreign Ministry should not withdraw its stance until freedom of the Iranian woman,' he added.
Quds-Kanni is an Iranian businesswoman living in Australia that have been arrested by the Australian Judiciary system on June 16, 2017. The US has accused her of violation of this country's trade rules.
