Larijani, who is in S.Petersburg, Russia, to attend an international meeting of world parliaments, met Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin and Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko in Moscow.

Larijani also thanked Russia for its position, as well as (Foreign Minister) Sergei Lavrov, who participated in the 5+1 meeting in New York.

'To this day, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed seven times Iran’s adherence to its obligations under JCPOA,' Larijani continued.

'We had huge expenses to achieve the agreement, and they - what - have they expected us to suffer expenses and then not use the agreements?, Tass quoted Larijani as saying.

Meanwhile, Volodin pointed to Larijani's remarks as indicating world conditions and said using sanctions as a tool to put pressure is ineffective.

He said that Russia is against dual standards and accepts Iran's concerns over nuclear issues.
