Talking to ICANA, Shahrouz Barzegar, a member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, stressed that Saudi Arabia would be well advised not follow the US policies as they would not lead to any accomplishment for it.

Barzegar underlined that Riyadh needs to exercise wise judgments in dealings with Washington, cautioning that Trump’s support for the Muslim country would be “short-lived”.

He also censured the US-backed Saudi coalition for fanning the flames of war against Yemen.

The legislator underlined that nowadays the innocent people of Yemen are slaughtering by Saudi forces, adding that accusing Iran of destabilizing activities are “unfounded accusations” that are aimed at evading from reality.
