On his meeting with the Pakistani Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, in Astana on Tuesday the Iranian top diplomat noted that in the meeting the two sides had stressed the need for Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistani to make arrangements to guarantee success of the Islamabad summit.

More on the same issue, Salehi said latest developments in the Tehran-Islamabad ties in the economic and political domains were among the topics discussed in the meeting.

He said since Pakistani Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir was not present in the Iran-Afghanistan-Pakistan meeting in Tehran, she was informed of important points discussed there as well as general topics addressed in the Iran-Pakistan summit in Tehran.

He noted that in the meeting, the participants talked about the Tehran-Islamabad-Kabul agreement to form three political, security and economic committees.
