Iran, S Korea to Boost Judicial Ties

On Thursday, the two officials met on the sidelines of the World Summit of Prosecutors General in the South Korean capital of Seoul, where they also looked into ways to expand collaborations and promote exchange of ideas, IRNA reported.

Prosecutor Generals from around the globe have gathered in Seoul to boost international efforts in prosecution services under the theme 'New Initiatives of the Prosecution Service.'

In his opening speech at the summit, South Korea's Prosecutor General Kim Joon-gyu pointed out that although each country's prosecution service differs due to different cultures, politics and legal systems, prosecutors share a common task.

He also called on prosecutors to take new initiatives and reinforce a mechanism that would promote cooperation in criminal justice in the face of growing crimes.
