Yemen's vote is in line with removing Saleh from power

Yemeni people seemingly would not accept anything which goes against democracy and asking decision to elect the best qualified individual," Boroujerdi said on Monday.

He referred to candidacy of one Presidential hopeful in Yemen and said, "Basically, election means electing an individual from some people so that the best one is picked by the people. The issue that only one individual attends the election process, does not bring the name of elections."

He added it seems that presidential elections in Yemen is for a show to implement what was already decided upon and impose it to the nation. "Of Course, this is Yemeni nation that should make decision about what happens in their country."

Boroujerdi also referred to the role of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council in Yemeni presidential election and said, "It seems that this is an orchestrated planning by a system, since Saudi Arabia has already said that Ali Abdullah Saleh should be removed from power and vice president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi should replace him."
