KSA disregards OPEC decisions in line with US policies

“Saudi Arabia is implementing US policies in the region and to implement those policies, it is disregarding its obligations in OPEC. Therefore, Iran should think about introducing punishing methods [for violation of production quotas] in OPEC,” Sudani noted on Sunday.

The lawmaker stated that Saudi Arabia has always followed the policies of the US and Israel.

“Instead of helping regional countries and promoting Islamic unity, Saudi Arabia has always opposed these ideas,” the Majlis member said.

Sudani stated that the Saudi Arabian OPEC representative has recently emphasized that the kingdom is bent on raising crude oil output in order to lower global oil prices to below USD 60 a barrel.

“Saudi Arabia’s recent conduct is declaration of economic war on the Islamic Republic of Iran and this issue will benefit neither the region, nor the Kingdom,” he added.
