Iran-US bilateral talks, Obama's electoral trick

"Raising issues by the White House about dialogue with Iran is an electoral trick and a propaganda that Obama has made for increasing his vote in the upcoming presidential elections," Boroujerdi said on Friday.

Boroujerdi was responding to the remarks by White House Press Secretary Jay Carney who said US President Barack Obama was open to talks with Iran.

"We have been open to considering negotiations that are bilateral, but we have none scheduled and we have no agreements with the Iranians to do that," Carney was quoted by the Reuters. "There is nothing scheduled. There is no agreement."

Barack Obama was not in a hopeful condition for the upcoming elections in the US and consequently adopted any policy which helped him gain the attraction of his society, Boroujerdi said.
