“The Americans always act according to their interests and the international law is not important to them,” Boroujerdi said on Sunday.
“When they (Americans) feel that the policy of confrontation benefits them, they might continue this approach,” Boroujerdi added.
“If the Americans think that they can halt Iran’s peaceful [nuclear] activities by mounting pressure, they are beating the air,” the Iranian lawmaker said.
“Iran will continue developing its peaceful nuclear energy program based on the regulations of the agency (the International Atomic Energy Agency - the IAEA) and within the framework of peaceful objectives,” Boroujerdi said.
