Majlis commission starts discussing AMIA deal

In an interview with ICANA on Wednesday, Boroujerdi said, "The initial discussions on the case began on Tuesday and members of the commission agreed to hold further sessions to explore the issue."

The final results will be announced later, Boroujerdi said.

Iran and Argentina recently agreed to establish a fact-finding committee to investigate the controversial 1994 AMIA bombing, in which more than 80 people were killed in an Argentinean Jewish center.

The Argentinean Senate last Thursday endorsed the deal which should also gain the approval of the lower house of the national congress to be legalized.

Iran's Majlis is also set to discuss the MOU in detail in the upcoming days.
