Resignations in Morsi’s cabinet deepened crisis in Egypt

In an interview with ICANA on Tuesday, Ahmadi said, “The ongoing unrest in  Egypt is the result of decisions and policies adopted by the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Ahmadi further referred to Egyptian army’s 48-ouhr ultimatum to President Mohammed Morsi and his opponent to resolve the dispute and said, “The political situation in Egypt is reaching a point where the risk of military interference will increase and there is the possibility that the army would come to the scene and carry out a coup d’état against the government.”

“The more the pressure on Morsi increases, the higher would be the chance for army’s intervention,” he added.
