Najafi Khoshroudi: US waivers a “humanitarian gesture”

Talking to ICANA, Spokesman for Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Ali Najafi Khoshroudi censured the US unjust economic sanctions against Iran.

US President Donald Trump’s measures indicate Washington’s unilateralism and its attempts to spread its internal decisions to a transnational level.

Referring to US isolation to advance its unilateral policies against Iran, he added: "I doubt that the countries of the world will pay attention to these sanctions and decisions.”

The US recent announcement of slapping back sanctions on Iran has triggered widespread defiance from the Islamic republic as well as Europe.

The Trump administration has announced that it will re-impose sanctions on Iran that had been lifted under the historic 2015 Iran nuke deal, also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The European Union (EU) and Iran are working out ways to avoid the impact of sanctions on their economic and trade relationship.
